Hi there! I’m Rachel

The daily grind is more than just checking things off your to-do list. Everything we do for our families from cooking meals and cleaning to changing diapers and doing dishes can sometimes become monotonous and the joy that once was there is no longer present. Here you will learn how to make your daily tasks a divine occupation with healthy, nutritious meals, simple living, and creating a home that is cozy and restful; a place for your family to be nourished.
A little about me…
I love the Lord, I love my husband, and I love my daughter! Here I share my journey on learning how to be a wife, mother, homemaker, and all that goes along with that! Wether it’s healthy recipes to nourish my family, making my home a place that is enjoyable to be in, or tips that have helped life run more smoothly.
Most of my life I grew up in Montana. I am one of 7 children and I love being part of a big family. My husband is from Missouri and that is where we are settling in for now. We’ve been married for two years, so still very much newlyweds, and are learning and growing so much together every day.
I love food, health, and nutrition. Growing up I was always wanting to bake something and even now in a rare spare moment you can find me reading a recipe book gathering ideas and inspiration for future meals. I desire my family to be as healthy as possible so by making meals that are both filing and also nourishing is important to me. In my late teens I became very stressed about food, wanting to make sure absolutely everything I put in my mouth was as pure and wholesome as it could possibly be. Since getting married my husband has helped to balance me out a bit in that regard. Now we do the best we can to eat healthy but not get stressed about it either. It has now become a joy that I look forward to every day.
I also enjoy making our home a cozy place where my family can relax and unwind. That’s hard to do with clutter! I am learning more about minimalizing, simplifying, and getting rid of things to accomplish this.
