Cinnamon Honey Latte with Honey Cream Cold Foam

|

An iced cinnamon honey latte is the perfect drink for a hot summer afternoon. Top it with silky sweet honey cream cold foam for the ultimate treat.

I love iced coffee in the summer months. Being able to sit in the shade on a warm afternoon with an iced latte in hand is a favorite part of our summer days. Making it yourself is that much more fun too!

This latte is sweetened with honey only with added notes of vanilla and cinnamon in every sip. The addition of silky homemade honey cream cold foam and a light dusting of cinnamon makes for the perfect touch.

I use espresso for this recipe but if you don’t have an espresso machine you can still make this using very strongly brewed coffee instead or strong cold brew coffee. Both ways are delicious! Just make sure to double or even triple the amount of grounds that you would normally use. Since you’ll be adding a decent amount of milk to this latte you still want to be able to taste the coffee flavor well and not have it overtaken by the other ingredients.

Why You’ll Love this Recipe

DELICIOUS! – worth its mention again! This is by far one of my favorite lattes that I can make at home. The flavor is just so good!

Quick and Easy – this latte whips up in 5 minutes or less!

Cheap – making lattes at home is so much more budget friendly than going out to a coffee shop. They are fun to make and you can have gourmet beverages right in the comfort of your own home!

pouring a tablespoon of honey into a half pint jar
honey and cinnamon mixture in a half pint jar
pulling a shot of espresso into a small glass jar

Step 1: In small jar or mug measure out the honey (1 – 2 Tbs depending on how sweet you like your coffee to be), vanilla extract (1/4 tsp), and cinnamon (1/8 tsp). Stir with a small spoon to combine.

Step 2: Make your espresso. If you are using an espresso machine, pull your espresso shot right into the jar with your honey mixture. Stir until the honey is mostly dissolved into the hot coffee.

Step 4: In a small jar (I just use the same one that my espresso was in) combine the heavy cream (1 Tbs), milk (1 Tbs), and honey (1/2 tsp). Use a milk frother and froth until it is creamy and has doubled in volume, about 10-20 seconds.

Step 5: Pour the cold foam over your latte and add a sprinkle of cinnamon for garnish. Serve and enjoy!

How to Serve

This latte can be served by itself, with a breakfast meal or later in the day as an afternoon pick-me-up. Serve with pastries, cinnamon rolls, cookies, sweet bread, muffins, or a dessert.

This is also a great beverage to serve if you are hosting a small party or a girls afternoon. Serve it to your guests and they will thank you!

Recipe FAQs

Can this be made in advance?

This latte is best served immediately right after making it.

Is a honey cinnamon latte heathy?

While I wouldn’t say it is a health food it is definitely healthier than most other caffeinated beverages. Honey is a natural sweetener and cinnamon has loads of heath benefits so it does have healthy, real ingredients in it.

Can I make a cinnamon honey latte dairy free?

Yes you can! Just substitute the milk for your favorite dairy free milk. I have found that oat milk works the best. For the cold foam, substitute both the milk and the heavy cream for oat milk. It froths up surprisingly well and is nice and foamy!
